Who doesn’t love summer? After a long and dreary Michigan winter, there is nothing better than sunny days and warmer evenings! It’s also the perfect season to give your home a refresh with easy summer decor. From floral accents, brighter décor, and simple patio lights, freshening up your home for summer is simple and affordable.
Easy Ways to Add Pops of Color
When it comes to a home refresh, keep it simple and affordable by using what you already have. For example, dig out your summer serving platters. You likely have some fun and colorful items already in your kitchen. Simply add them to a counter top for a refreshing pop of color.
Check out your pantry and make your produce the shining star in your kitchen. Something as simple as fresh lemons and apples will make your counter top pop.
Home decor inspiration can always be found outside every season, but especially during summer. We have a beautiful tree in our front yard – I love to cut a few stems off of it and add to vases throughout the house.
Don’t you just love when everything starts to turn green this time of the year?! I enjoy bringing those same elements indoors by peppering my tables with bright green colors and natural decor. 
I also added fake succulents and fake flowers stems that I found at Target, too! You can of course use fresh flowers as well!
Summer is such a magical time and unfortunately it doesn’t last long enough. If you live in cold-weather states, you know just how precious every minute of summer is.
