A Very Merry Chic Christmas: Simple Decor Ideas

I LOVE decorating for the holidays! Christmas decor just helps create such a cozy home! This year I stuck with simple decor ideas to help create a chic look. i’m so excited to bring you inside my Very Merry Chic Christmas Home. I have links to most of the items pictured at the end of this post.

I just love the joy this season brings! I also love a reason to add sparkle to my home. I had so much fun decorating this year as Lukas helped me. He was such a good little helper, too. He was mesmerized by all the sparkle. He also learned a new word, too – Christmas Tree.Christmas Decorating with Lukas

Dining Room Christmas Decor

We have two Christmas Trees in our home this year. One of them is in the dining room and the other is in living room. My mom found a tall skinny tree at Goodwill that was unopened from Target. It’s perfect tree for our dining room. Goodwill is a great place to get some Holiday Decor. They have a great selection and most of it is in good condition.Chic Christmas Decor Ideas

I think our dining room is my favorite room this season. I added some Christmas flare in just about every nook of this room, including the bar cart.

I love the simple decor at the dining room table. I placed a couple brushed trees, some candles, and beads on a large cheese board. It’s just a simple Christmas scene, but I think it makes a big statement and it’s super chic. Chic Christmas Decor Ideas

I added touches of red with the pillows on both of our couches. I also added touches of green throughout the house, too. Including frosted greenery on the mantle and brushed trees from Target on the bar car and dining room table. Chic Christmas Decor Ideas

I swapped out the mantle decor with a Christmas picture from Kirklands. I also added last year’s family Christmas picture to one of the picture frames on the mantel. Since I didn’t have another “holiday” themed picture, I added Christmas wrapping paper to the other frame.Fireplace Mantel Christmas Decor Ideas

I added another one of those faux fur tree skirts to the kitchen table Christmas scene.  I placed a plate charger on top of it and created a “forest” scene with pink accents to compliment the other colors in my kitchen. I just love the pink glitter deer from Target.Faux Fur Mini Tree Skirt

On the kitchen counter top, I placed a couple simple Christmas vignettes using brushed trees, tree ornaments, and candles.Kitchen Christmas Decor I love this wooden piece from Target! I simply filled it with Christmas ornaments and placed it in front of a Joy sign I’ve had for a few years.Countertop Christmas Decor Ideas

Living Room

The star of my Christmas decor is the tree in the living room! I absolutely LOVE this tree! It’s from Bronner’s in Frankenmuth. It’s such a magical tree! It’s lightly frosted and pre-lit with gorgeous bulb lights.Christmas Tree From Bronners

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this tree. It doesn’t require a lot of additional ornaments. It’s just so pretty!Christmas Tree From Bronners

I didn’t have a tree skirt that matches my other decor, so I took a faux fur blanket and wrapped it around the base of tree. I also placed a basket next to it and filled the basket with birch logs.Christmas Tree From Bronners

I added red and pink pillows on the couch to help add a pop of color to the living room. I love these red pillows with gold detail from Target.Christmas Pillows from Target

And this popcorn pillow, also from Target, is so stinking cute!Christmas Pillows from Target

A Very Merry Christmas Entryway

My entryway is the last area I decorated. I basically used whatever leftover decor I had for this area. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but I’m pretty happy with it. I played around with the idea of adding the Nutcracker guys to the fireplace mantle, but I think they look best here.Entryway Christmas Decor

I also added a table runner to this scene. I originally bought it for the dining room table, but it looks much better here. To help give the table some height, I added a fake floral arrangement using frosted branches from Michaels, Target, and Hobby Lobby.
