Jump to Recipe I made a Halloween-themed cheeseboard. Are you shocked? Nah – I didn’t think so. This may be my favorite cheeseboard ever! I think it even beats the the Valentine-themed one! A Halloween Cheeseboard with Spooktacular Treats is just…well pretty scary fun! It’s perfect for any costume party you’re hosting, or if you need to make something for your kids Halloween party at school or daycare.
Halloween Cheeseboard
This board has a little mix of everything; cheese, candy, fruit, meat, and a super scary pasta salad! I used three different types of cheese; sharp cheddar, Havarti, and brie. I simply used Halloween cookie cutters to make it seasonal. So easy!

Pretzel Broomsticks

For the pretzel broomsticks, simply cut a string cheese in half, place a pretzel in the center, wrap a chives around the center, then cut slits into bottom half. Here is a great video tutorial.

Halloween Candy

Lukas and I had so much fun making the candy for this tray! We used the Pampered Chef Halloween Cookie Molds which made everything so easy! I let Lukas decorate some of them with black icing and sprinkles. He loved it! To make the candy all I did was melt white chocolate and pour it in the molds. I let it harden in the refrigerator over night.

Mummy Granola Bars

How cute are the Mummy Granola bars?! Aside from the icing on top, they’re super healthy! I used the Pampered Chef Snack Bar Maker to make Pumpkin Spiced Granola Bars (recipe below). It just takes a few ingredients! I made a double batch and left the icing off most of them so Lukas would have a healthy snack throughout the day.

Spooktacular Pasta Salad

The pasta salad is perfectly Halloween, too! I was so excited when I found the black and white stripped pasta at TJ Maxx! So check your local TJ’s for Halloween colored pasta. Trader Joe’s also has some pumpkin shaped pasta. If you can’t find any, regular pasta works perfectly.

Cheesy Breadstick Bones

Okay one more fun thing I have to talk about are the breadstick bones! These are probably my favorite thing on the tray – they’re tasty and super easy to make. I followed this recipe.

Cook Time 15 mins
Total Time 20 mins
Servings 12 bars

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 apple skin removed and diced
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • Icing
  • Chocolate chips or candy eyes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Add all of the ingredients together in a large bowl and mix well. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the mixture into each mold of the Pampered Chef Snack Bar maker. If you don’t have the PF snack bar set, then place the mixture on a greased cookie sheet and try to shape into granola size.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the mixture has set and is thoroughly cooked.
  • Let the granola bars cool. Place the icing in a pastry bag or a Ziploc baggie and cut a small hole in the tip. Do a zig zag shape of the icing on the granola bar. Place chocolate chips at the top of the bars for “eyes” or use store bought candy eyes.
