Add all of the marinade ingredients to a blender and blend until the consistency of sour cream. Add more lime juice if needed.
Pour the marinade over the chicken and steak and make sure all of the meat is well covered. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate for a couple hours or overnight.
Cooking the meat on a grill will give you the best taste. However bakes in the oven is fine too. For the chicken - cook on each side for 5-7 minutes. The steak will take a little longer depending on the thickness and how you like your steak prepared.
When the meat is cooked removed from the grill and cover with tin foil. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
