We arrived in London via the EuroStar from Paris at the St. Pancras railway station. This train station is located in the heart of central London and was just a short, 13 pound Uber ride to our Airbnb in the neighborhood of South Kennsington.

We couldn’t check into our Airbnb right when we arrived so we stopped at a nearby pub for our first taste of Fish and Chips. The pub, Earls Court, was on a quiet street bordering the neighborhoods of Kensington and Chelsea. It was adorable inside and it felt very British. The Fish and Chips were delicious and so was the dirty martini – I had to J It’s James Bond’s drink of choice.

After our classically British lunch, we headed to our Airbnb. Now let’s talk about our Flat – it was AMAZING! It felt royal. It was such a dreamy place – I almost didn’t want to leave. But we had a lot of sightseeing to do.

So, after we revealed in the Flat for a bit, we headed out to see London. Our first stop was Parliament or the Palace of Westminster. I’ve done my fair share of binge watching the Crown and Victoria lately, so I was so excited to see one of London’s most historical buildings in person. It’s truly an articular wonder. Big Ben sits at the north end of the Palace of Westminster, however it is undergoing a 4 year renovation right now.

Just across from Parliament, is Westminster Abbey. This is a must-see while in London. It’s incredible to stand in front of the centuries old church and think about its place in History. Westminster Abbey has been the coronation church since 1066 and is the final resting place of 17 monarchs. It’s also where Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, Prince William, and many more royals were married.

After exploring Westminster, we set out to find a pub, but stumbled upon an authentic Bavarian restaurant. And I’m so happy we did! The Munich Cricket Club is such a fun place! Lights line the ceiling and the dining tables are long with family style seating. The food was amazing! It was one of the best meals in London.   James and I split the pork schnitzel. It was so yummy!

After we finished our drink and schnitzel we headed to a nearby pub for round 2 of food and drinks. All of the pubs were very lively and filled with football fans. There was a big game on that night. We wandered into The Albert and found one of the last tables available. We ordered some wine and a traditional Chicken and Mushroom pie to share. Like most meals in London, this dish came with peas. It was very tasty – similar to chicken pot pie.

We were both so full after this dish! We headed back to our Royal Airbnb to get some much needed sleep for a busy day 2 in London.

Our first stop on Day 2 was for breakfast. We found the most adorable restaurant- Fait Maison. A gorgeous floral arrangement covered the front door and windows. Everything about this place is totally instagrammable. It’s sooo pretty! There are a few different locations for Fait Maison throughout London.

After our delicious breakfast we started walking to Buckingham Palace – the London residence of Her Majesty The Queen. Along the way we stopped at Harrods – the World’s most famous department store. This place is a shopalcoholic’s dream come true! It’s magical – haha. Many of the storefronts along the walk have beautiful floral displays! I loved seeing all the flowers for sale in London.

We eventually made it to Buckingham Palace. It’s definitely worth going for the photo-op. The grounds are beautiful and it’s neat to see the  guards standing in front of the Palace. We also went to the gift shop connected to the Palace and we got some great souvenirs for our family.

After Buckingham Palace we walked through nearby Saint James’s Park. It’s a beautiful park. It’s a great place to enjoy a picnic and some wine. The park was on our way to the area of Westminster and the London Eye.

We walked by some beautiful governmental buildings and stopped for lunch at Ale & Pie. Another great pub with tasty food! We split a chicken salad sandwich and sweet potato fries.

After lunch we walked across the Westminster Bridge and explored some areas near the London Eye. The area was so busy so we didn’t stay long. It was nice to walk through there, but I wouldn’t recommend spending too much time near the London Eye. There is so much more to see in London.

After a brief stop at our Flat, we headed back out to see the Tower Bridge and St Katharine Docks. St. Katharine Docks is a vibrant area filled with restaurants and a World Food Market every Friday during the day. After walking the nearby Tower Bridge we stopped for dinner at The Dickens Inn, a restaurant in St. Katharine Docks. This restaurant is awesome! Its the perfect pub inside a restored 18th century building with views of the Tower Bridge. The fish and chips were great and the atmosphere was awesome! Definitely check this place out.

Day two in London was a busy one. We logged 30,000 steps! Day three was my favorite and also packed with adventure. It started with a stop at a street-side cafe near our flat. We grabbed baguette sandwiches to eat as we walked to Kennsington Palace – the Royal residence of Prince William and Catherine Middleton and now Prince Harry and Megan Markle.

A portion of Kennsignton Palace is open to visitors. Tickets are roughly $25 but well-worth it! Right now, the Palace features an exhibit of Princess Diana’s most famous outfits. It’s an incredible exhibit! It was so amazing to see her clothes in person.

The Palace also features a Queen Victoria exhibition which is also amazing. Her jewels, and handwritten letters are on display. And if you are a fan of PBS’s Victoria, many things will look familiar. Kennsington Palace was my favorite part of our trip!

After touring Kennsington we headed to the Victoria and Albert museum. We stopped at some shops and a pub along the way, including Europe’s version of TJ MAXX – TK MAXX. Of course I had to make some purchases! If you’re in London – please find this store! You will not be disappointed. I snagged some awesome fashion fins, including this fun Boho maxi.

After our tour of the Victoria and Albert museum, we headed back to our Flat where we enjoyed some wine and cheese before heading out for our last evening in London.

We took an Uber to Notting Hill, an area known for its pastel-colored buildings and thriving Portobello Market. Unfortunately, we missed the market, but I definitely want to experience it if we go back. We stopped at a nearby pub for a drink and an appetizer before we headed back to the our neighborhood for dinner.

Our last night in London was so fun! We ate at an awesome Pub and mingled with some locals. I was so sad to see our trip come to an end, but I was so excited to see Lukas! It was an amazing European trip that started in Brussels, took us to Paris, and ended in London. Our 9 days in Europe was incredible! We can’t wait to go back with Lukas! We hope you enjoyed reading about our adventures, too! Cheers xoxo
