It’s the most wonderful time of the year – the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! It opens to the public on July 19th, so get ready to shop! It’s a great opportunity to get fall staples, like over the knee boots and cardigans. However, this year I found a lot of items that reminded me of Paris. I’m so inspired by our recent trip to France and I wanted to draw from that inspiration as I was shopping the sale items.
Printed mini dresses, breezy floral wrap dresses, and vintage inspired skirts are staples of the French style. They help create effortless, yet distinctive looks. As I was shopping the Nordstrom sale, I found some great items that help emulate the Parisian style I love so much.

1.) Vintage Love
This first outfit is one of my favorite looks. The delicate white lace blouse is simple and feminine. It’s a great price-point. I paired it with this Halogen pleated midi skirt. It’s a beautiful material with a delicate floral print. I love the green color. It’s the perfect color that can transition well from summer to fall. It pairs well with boots and a sweater, too. The skirt comes in two different patterns.
I styled it with 1920’s inspired heels from Anthropologie. I love them! They’re old, but I linked some similar ones that you can shop in look below.
2.) Pleated Retro Red
This second look is so fun. I love the retro-inspired skirt and I felt so pretty in it. It is a flattering skirt that would look great on all shapes. It can be dressed up or down with a white or stripped tank. I tried it on with an adorable pink Vince Camuto blouse that’s part of the Nordstrom sale, but they didn’t have my size, so I found this very similar pink blouse from the Loft.
The neck and wrist ruffles are so feminine. It will look great with jeans and over the knee boots for fall, too! I see the Nordstrom version of the smocked neck blouse is re-stocked, so I’m going to link that in the look below along with the Loft version. Both are great!
The pleats on this skirt are perfectly placed. I have a hard time finding pleated skirts that flatter my shape. They seem to always add some extra love to my backside, but this skirt is perfectly pleated.
3.) Perfectly Floral
I was so excited this ruffle-neck dress was part of the sale. I saw a very similar dress I wanted to buy in Paris but it was beyond my price-point. This dress is so pretty, its comfortable and it’s perfectly floral.
The dress features a removable bow that can be worn a coupe different ways. I prefer it without the bow, but it’s nice to have the option.
This will be a great dress in the fall with over the knee boots. For now, I just love how these orange heels from Target look with it. This is such a fun and flirty look. It’s flirty without being over-the-top. I love how the French play the sexy card. They believe sexy is all about how you carry yourself, not how much skin is showing. And this dress is perfectly Parisian.
The best Parisian accessory is simplicity. And these looks are simple, look effortless, feminine, and cost-friendly.
