Fall Decorating Ideas: Happy October from Four Seasons of Autumn
Happy October! It’s my favorite month…and it has nothing to do with my name! I swear – haha! I just love everything about this season; the crisp air, cider mill adventures, butternut squash dishes, and pumpkin spice everything! In fact, I’m currently burning a Yankee Fall candle and eating butternut squash soup as I write this blog post. HahaIn celebration of my favorite season, I have a lot of fun stuff planned for the blog this month. I’m kicking it off with some easy Fall Decorating Ideas. Nearly all of my Fall decor is from Target or HomeGoods. Most of it I’ve had for a couple seasons, with the exception of a few new items.
The green garland with pops of yellow that I placed along the fireplace is fairly new, from Target. The pumpkin garland and apple orchard sign, from HomeGoods, are older but I’ve seen similar items there recently. The vases are also older but can easily be replicated with Dollar Store items.
Next to our fireplace, is our bar cart. It’s such a fun little corner of our house and easy to decorate. Everything on the bar cart is older and came from HomeGoods. However, it’s so easy to replicate with fresh pumpkins, cinnamon sticks, a cider filled decanter, and Fall candles!
I added a green checkerboard pillow (from the dollar spot at Target) and a mustard blanket, also from Target, in a wicker basket next to the bar cart. I love the coziness this look created. It’s my favorite spot in our house right now – especially when the fireplace is going!
In our dinning room/fireplace area we also have a couch, which I added simple touches of fall with a newly purchased pumpkin pillows from HomeGoods. On top of the ottoman, I added a pop of color with a real pumpkin.
In fact, I scattered real pumpkins throughout the house, including in the kitchen. How cute do the pumpkins and ghords look on the food scale I recently bought from Target?!
I also found some really cute fake pumpkins at the dollar spot at Target. I added those to the kitchen sink area and front entrance way.
Also in the kitchen, I added some candy corn to one the counter top vases. I usually keep pasta in the vase but swapped in my favorite Halloween candy that also serves as decor 🙂
Outside, I scattered the front porch with pumpkins from a nearby place – Staars Farm in Linden. They had an awesome mix of different colored pumpkins and fun looking ghords.
I piled the pumpkins on planters and scattered smaller pumpkins and ghords along the steps. It literally took 10 minutes and about $30 to decorate my front porch. It took me even less money and time to decorate the kitchen table. I simply used old candles sticks, candles, and another fake pumpkin from the dollar store.
I hope you find some Fall decorating inspiration in this post! Wishing you a happy October! Be sure to stay tuned to the blog this month for some great Fall recipes and more!
