Late Summer Harvest Dinner Party
The days are getting shorter, temperatures are dipping and sweater weather is quickly approaching. Sadly, in a matter of weeks we’ll bid adieu to the best of summer produce, too. As much as I love fall, I miss having fresh tomatoes, sweet corn, basil, and peppers at the ready. In an effort to savor these final weeks of the season’s bounty, I threw a Late Summer Harvest Dinner Party.
The recipes featured highlight the best of summer produce. And luckily we still have a few more weeks left to snatch up the ingredients used. Come along with me to savor the end of the season’s bounty!
Appetizers: Charcuterie Board, Heirloom Tomato Focaccia Bread & Parmesan Herbed Meatballs
The Main Course: Herb Roasted Rack of Lamb with Garlicky Patty Pan Squash and Radish
Sides: Summer Squash Soup & Roasted Baby Eggplant & Mushrooms
Dessert: Rustic Peach Galette
The Table Setting: Wild Flowers and Herbs
- I used wild flowers for the centerpieces.
- Used fresh herbs in place of napkin rings.
- Scattered dried lavender on the tables.
