A Healthy Breakfast with German Toast

So I recently discovered German toast! Where has it been all my life? It’s filled with hearty and healthy ingredients to definitely help sustain you through the morning! I recently bough the three grain version at our local grocery store. And I love it! I’ve been adding fresh veggies, cream cheese, and capers to it. So delicious! And so easy!

German Toast With Fresh Veggies and Cream Cheese

Ingredients
  

  • 1 slice german toast
  • 5 cherry tomatoes
  • 3 thing slices red onion
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese or ricotta
  • 1/2 tsp capers
  • 1 pinch Salt and Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cut the German bread in half and toast. Add cream cheese and variety of different toppings to each slice. I like to mix mine up and add cherry tomatoes to one and cucumbers, onion, and capers to the other. You could also fruit or really any produce you would like.
